World Cup: Judgment day in the battles for the eight

The second phase of its groups World Cup ends today with four teams having already qualified and another eight fighting for the best.

Things are clearly in two groups. In that of Greece, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, USA and Lithuania they have booked a place in the eight, but they will play each other for the first place. Accordingly, in the Okinawa group they will compete for first place Germany and Slovenia.

The winners of Italy-Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic-Serbia will advance to the quarterfinals. Serbia can only be first if Puerto Rico also wins, the Dominican Republic if Italy also wins, Italy if Serbia also wins and Puerto Rico if the Dominican Republic also wins.

The situation is similar in group Lwhere four teams are also tied at 3-1. The winners of the matches Brazil-Latvia and Spain-Canada will advance to the quarter-finals. In terms of first place, Latvia will be first if Spain wins at the same time, Canada will be first if Latvia also wins, Brazil will be first if Canada also wins, and Spain will be first if they win and Brazil.
