Despodov: “I chose PAOK because they showed respect – I have the DNA of a champion”

Hungry for titles, he said Kirill Despodov in his first statements as a PAOK player. The Bulgarian striker made it clear that his goal is to win trophies with the “double-header of the north” and underlined the reason he chose to continue his career there, while also referring to his love for Greece.

Why the reason he chose PAOK: “For me it was very simple. PAOK showed that they really want me and showed respect. I am a man of honor and I appreciate seeing mutual respect. Then I have no choice.”

For what he knows about PAOK: “I watch the Greek teams, they are very strong. You have top derbies in the league, and they also play in Europe. I know that PAOK is an excellent club, with fantastic fans and a hot atmosphere in the stadium. I don’t need to say anything about the country. I come here every year for vacation. I love people, music, food, everything. I believe that I won’t need much time to adapt.”

For his goals with PAOK: “I have the DNA of a champion. The team I played for was always fighting for the championship. I have it in my blood. I’m really… hungry for trophies. I really believe that with PAOK I can win titles and make the world happy. I believe that. These are my goals. First of all, to help the team, let us all develop and, of course, win trophies.”
