The EPO proposes that the proceeds from Greece-Gibraltar be allocated to those affected by the bad weather

“The Hellenic Football Federation has announced that it will stand by the side of those affected and will help in practice with their support with a series of initiatives that it is going to undertake in this direction, as part of its social responsibility.

The start will be made with today’s game against Gibraltar, the proceeds of which will be proposed to the Executive Committee to be allocated to those affected by the bad weather. For this reason, the Federation invites the fans to attend today’s match both to support our National Team and to contribute to the support of the victims of Thessaly.

The Municipality of Nea Philadelphia was the first to respond to the EPO’s call, within its borders is the OPAP Arena stadium used by the National Team in the EURO 2024 qualifiers, which invites the public to go to the stadium tonight to support the National Team and to contribute to the proceeds of the match.

Also, a series of other support actions are going to be done in collaboration with EPO sponsors, such as the sending of water, food and basic necessities, as well as the auction of appearances of the National Team at Charity Idols, with the proceeds being allocated to actions for the flood victims of Thessaly. The Federation will also stand by the football family, providing assistance to member associations and clubs.

Relevant announcements will be made after the meeting of the Executive Committee next Tuesday.”
