He described it as an easy decision Andreas Samaris the one he got to continue his career in Coritiba. The Greek ace underlined that the project presented to him by the team managers was such that it… made it easier for him to say “yes” to the proposal made to him.

“It was a very easy decision for me to come to Coritiba, mainly because of the project presented to me by Artur Moraes and Carlos Amodeo. I am now focused on helping the club take it to another level which I feel is very much possible.”said Samaris who then commented on the difficult ranking position in which his new team is.

“Coritiba depends on themselves, there is no need to worry about what other teams are doing. About our fans, my teammates have spoken to me, but also the management people. I understand they are upset because the team is low in the standings, but I know they can put on their own show from the stands and I hope to see that on Thursday. We want to start our counterattack against Bahia and see them happy.”

Finally, in a question put to him, Samaris admitted that he was also assigned the role of mentor to young players, and how he can respond to this role.

“I can play that role. In my career I always play this role. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I feel with the new players in the team we will make the difference”concluded.
