Tsitsipas: “Tiredness is not an excuse, mentally I was ready”

The difficulties faced by the Greek team against Slovakia were commented on by Stefanos Tsitsipas at the press conference after losing to Alex Molchan.

I think that psychologically the most important win would be the doubles, because it would give me a bigger boost and bring out even more energy and even more power in the singles. Starting the singles 1-2 didn’t help, it’s not that I felt more pressure, but I think at times like this it’s important to have a big lead so you feel more comfortable and feel less weight on you when you go to play the next one game.
