Markopoulos comfortably defeated Albania’s Skanderbeg 3-0 in their third and final group match of the Balkan Women’s Volleyball Cup held in Kosovo, but finished second and will not participate in this year’s Challenge Cup.
This after Galatasaray’s 3-0 set win over “host” Drita, a result that gave them first place with an absolute 3-0 and took them to the third ranked European interclub competition.
