The pre-Olympic team of ELOT to the Minister of Sports Yannis Vroutsis

The deputy Minister of Sports, Yannis Vroutsis, had a meeting with the pre-Olympic team of the Hellenic Taekwondo Federation (ELOT), accompanied by the president, Michalis Physentzidis, and the General Secretary, Nikos Thomaidis.

The “present” was given by the champions Phaedra Kaltekis, Thenia Sarvanakis and the champions Apostolis Telikostoglou, Konstantinos Hamalidis and Dionysis Rapsomanikis, as well as the responsible coaches Thodoris Zinelis and Pantelis Efraimidis.

The Minister was informed by the administration, by the athletes and their coaches about the competitive “marathon” they have to go through until the qualification process for the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games is completed. Mr. Vroutsis wished them every success in their struggle to achieve the goal, while he congratulated the Federation for the great successes it has had over the years in the major international competitions, but also for the very important work that is being done at the base of the sport . He assured that he will be constantly on the side of the sport of Olympic medals and great successes, with the aim of its further development.

“The meeting took place in a particularly good atmosphere. Together with Mr. of ELOT we had the opportunity for the 2nd time in a short period of time to have contact with the Minister, a fact that makes us especially happy since it shows the will, both his and the State’s, for the development of Greek sports and especially Olympiacos Tae Kwon do. We are sure that with his help, we will be able to implement our entire competition program and pave the way for next year, with even more competitions, even more events and of course even more awards, which Greek sports needs. The close cooperation of the federation with the Ministry of Sports and personally with Mr. Vroutsis will continue”, said the president of ELOT, Michalis Fysentzidis, at the end of the meeting.
