In her quest to secure tickets for her friends to the away game with OFInext Monday (2/10, 20:00), PAE AEK was mentioned, stressing however that in the end this became impossible.
In fact, the “yellow and black” asked the friends of the team not to try to approach “Th. Vardinogiannis”as, as they explained, there is no way for them to find a ticket and their presence there only poses risks.
In detail, the AEK announcement:
“Friends of AEK
We would like to inform you that within the framework of the prescribed procedures for the security issues of the match with OFI in Heraklion, PAE AEK requested from PAE OFI to be given tickets for the needs of its fans and to reserve a stand for them.
PAE OFI has informed that it will not provide tickets or a separate door – stand for AEK fans, beyond the prescribed invitations because it has made available season tickets at all the gates of the stadium and furthermore because gate 6 will remain empty for security reasons.
The suggestion of the police was similarly negative.
Following the decision of the Deputy Minister of Education, Religion and Sports to ban the organized or individual movement of away fans for the specific match, we ask you to stay away from the stadium on the day of the match. Do not attempt to approach the area where this is located, as there is no way to find a ticket and being there only poses risks.
We made every effort to allow our fans to be on the field, but it was impossible. Therefore we must protect AEK in every way and respect the relevant decisions».
