“The match against AEK has several similarities with the games we played at home, against Aris and PAOK. AEK is the champion of Greece and an excellent team. They started the season really well and I enjoyed the way they played against Brighton. The credit goes not only to AEK, but to the whole of Greek football. But I am convinced that we also have our strong points, with which we defeated two top teams, such as Aris and PAOK here at our home. I believe that we go into this game completely focused and prepared for what we can do.
It doesn’t matter how much you have prepared and how much you want to pressure the opponent. They will find a way to keep the ball, have the most possession and in a game like this you have to find a way to keep your concentration and endure. Endure and stay in the game.
We all saw AEK’s match against Atromitos, how they stayed in the game and in the end had the chances to get something. They lost 2-1 but they showed that if you stay in the game, anything can happen. This is what we have to do. I believe that against such teams that come to our stadium, the support of our fans is an additional motivation and helps us get the result we want”.
