Vieirania: “Tomorrow PAOK will come out ready to play for victory”

by

The certainty that PAOK is ready to compete against Eintracht to play for victory was expressed by Adelino Vieirania at the press conference of the match. The captain of the Northern League emphasizes that he and his team-mates must be fully focused throughout the match against the German team.

What he said in detail:

“I think that tomorrow a team will come out on the field that will play and give 100% to get the victory”

For the games with the German teams and if there is anything special:

“Frankfurt is a strong team, this is tomorrow for us. We have to focus on that. They are a team that won the Europa League two years ago and that says it all. We must be ready for a difficult game

On whether PAOK is more mature now:

“We are more experienced as a team and as players, it helps that experienced players have come in this year. We have understood what it is like to play every 2-3 days, so I think that tomorrow a team will come out on the field that will play and give 100% to get the victory”

For the three matches in which PAOK conceded a goal in stoppage time:

“It’s something we have to think about, something we have to work on. We are an experienced team as I said and it will not happen again that we concede a goal in stoppage time. In Helsinki the goal we conceded didn’t cost us, but in the other two matches we conceded we lost points and could have been closer to the top of the league standings. Tomorrow we must be focused not just for 90 minutes, but for 95-96 minutes to get the victory.”

On whether this match is a key to qualifying for the next phase:

“Theoretically, our goal is qualification, but tomorrow the two favorites for the duo play. Game by game we have to think about the group and in general. It will be a very interesting game and it will be important to win.”

On the squad’s young players and how they approach these European games:

“These are the matches that everyone wants to play. Everyone is waiting how and how to play. It is a European match with an important team. We want to go as far as possible to have games all the time, that will be the best for us. Little by little, the young guys in the team are starting to know what it’s like to play in such games. They show that they don’t have a management issue in the big events.”

For the atmosphere of Toumba and the presence of the friends of both teams:

“If you ask me, I want fans of the teams in all the games. In Greece it is not so easy. We feel their support even away from home. For me, the best thing is for the friends of both teams to be present in all the games, but I say again that in Greece it is not easy”.
