The heart of international wrestling will beat in Loutraki, with the major World events returning to Greece, the birthplace of the sport.

From October 14 and for ten days in the spa town of Corinthiakou and in the “Georgios Galanopoulos” Indoor Gym, two events of international scope and brilliance will be hosted. From October 14 to 16, the World Grappling Championship (GP/GP Gi) will be held in which 200 athletes from 19 countries will compete.

The baton will then be passed, from October 17 to 23, 2023, to the World Veteran Olympic Wrestling Championship. More than 800 veteran Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestlers from 32 countries will have the opportunity to compete again, share memories and experiences in the arena and build bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation.

This event is the largest of the World Federation for 2023, which proves that our country has earned everyone’s respect and appreciation. Great names of the past have signed up and will offer a rich spectacle and great matches.

Both championships are held under the auspices of the Hellenic Wrestling Federation, with the cooperation of the sport’s World Federation.

The support is provided by the Municipality of Loutraki – Perachora – Agios Theodoros, while the implementing body is the Sportcamp sports center.
