Cube rolled: Eden Hazard announced the decision to retire at the age of 32 from active action!
Last June the “divorce” of the Belgian ace with Real Madrid had come outin which the roster was for a four-year period, without the desired results, largely paying for serious injury problems.
After this development, strong rumors circulated, according to which the experienced winger was seriously considering the possibility of immediately writing the epilogue of his presence on the playing fields, and they were finally confirmed a few months later.
“You have to listen to yourself and stop at the right time. After 16 years and more than 700 matches, I have decided to end my career as a professional football player.
I managed to realize my dream, I have played and had fun in many stadiums all over the world.
During my career I have been lucky enough to meet some great coaches, trainers and teammates – thank you all for these great times, I will miss you all.
I also want to thank the clubs I have played for: Lille, Chelsea and Real and I thank the Belgian national team.
A special thanks to my family, my friends, my advisors and the people who have been there for me through the good times and the bad.
Finally, a huge thank you to you, my fans, for following me all these years and supporting me everywhere I’ve played.
Now is the time to enjoy my loved ones and live new experiences. See you soon my friends off the field»
