The most talked about transfer of the last decade and… put it in the NBA, was his Kevin Durant to the Warriors.
“KD” decided, a few months after the Thunder were painfully shut out in Game 7 by the Warriorsto cross over to the opposite side, with many accusing him of “treason” and himself becoming… persona non grata in Oklahoma.
Still, no one can deny that Durant’s move from San Francisco was a success. The Warriors they managed to comfortably take back-to-back titles (2017, 2018), with ‘Slim Reaper’ emerging as Finals MVP in both years.
In fact, Durant himself believes that what he achieved with the Warriors would justify the eventual retirement of his jersey from the Golden State team. “Look at the facts. Those would allow my jersey to be retired, right? I love this organization. I love my time there, seriously. People shouldn’t question it because I left there.”Durant specifically stated.
Kevin Durant on the Warriors potentially retiring his jersey:
“Look at the resume. That would warrant me to get a jersey retirement, right? I love that organization. I love my time there, seriously. Me leaving, people shouldn’t doubt that, because I left there.”
