Porzingis “hurt” the Knicks and the Celtics entered the regular season on the right foot

Kristaps Porzingis talked about the “difficult” Celtics, who entered the new NBA season on the right foot, beating the Knicks 108-104 in Madison Square Garden.

The Latvian power forward/center scored 9 straight points in a 2-minute span to turn Boston’s lead from 101-97 to 106-102.

Leading scorer for the visitors was Jayson Tatum, with 34 points and 11 rebounds, and Porzingis added 30 points, while Derrick White finished the game with 12 points. Jrue Holiday in his official debut with the Boston team stayed low, with 9 points (4/10 shooting), 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks and 2 turnovers in 35 minutes.

On the other side, ARJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley stood out for the Knicks who had 24 points each, with Jaylen Brunson remaining at 15 points (6/21 shooting) and Julius Randle finishing with 14 points (5/22 shot).
