Ilias Papatheodorou “climbed” a place in the list of coaches with the most games played by the first national team, in yesterday’s defeat by Peristeri bwin (76-71). The coach of Prometheus coached for the 211th time and with it he climbed to the 26th place on the list from 1963-64, surpassing the late Kostas Politis.
Even on an individual level for Prometheus…
*The leader of the Achaean team and, based on the ranking, of the game, Jaime Etzenike (26), became the first player to reach a double-double this year, having 21 points and 10 rebounds.
The center of Prometheus even scored the third “20+10” performance of the season, after those of Sakur Juston (21p, 11p.) and Luka Brajkovic (26p, 13p.) in the premiere.
At the same time, the Colombian became the fourth Stoiximan Basket League player so far to have more than one 20+ point performance, after the one he scored against Marousi. TJ Starks (3), Elvar Fredrickson (2) and Hunter Hale (2) are currently on that list.
Etzenike posted his second double-digit scoring performance of the season with 10. Only Luka Brajkovic had more with 11 in the Colossus H Hotels match in Lavrio.
Through it all, the Prometheus center is the only one with 2+ interceptions in each of his four games in this year’s Championship.
*Hunter Hale’s four steals in Peristeri tied the season high shared by three other players, Langston Hall, Ishmael Sanogo and Jordan Seibert.
*Anthony Cowan had seven points in yesterday’s game to reach and surpass 700 points in 54 games in the Stoiximan Basket League.
*Chris Coffey with the 10 points he had in Peristeri, reached and exceeded 200 in his 23rd appearance in the Greek Championship.
*Nasos Bazinas played for the 45th time with Prometheus in the division. Thus he surpassed Giorgos Tanoulis (2020-23) and “caught” Dimitris Katsivelis (2018-20) in 14th place on the list.
*Cameron Reynolds had 0/4 two points as in the match of the 2nd game against Karditsa Japan. The American thus has two out of five zero performance two-pointers, in at least four attempts.
*On a team level for Prometheus the 53.33% with which he made shots (8/15), apart from playing his part in the loss he was forced into, is also the third worst performance this year.
