Ballon d’Or results leaked: Messi took 8th – Haaland and Mbappe in the trio

The final ranking after voting for the Golden Ball leaked on social media, with ‘Goal’ releasing the list.

As expected, Mr Lionel Messi figures at the top and will conquer it 8th Golden Ball of his career. Having earlier mastered and World Cup with Argentina, the 35-year-old was voted to lift another individual award in his rich career.

THE Erling Haaland who achieved the treble with Manchester Cityconquering the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League comes second, while third in the ranking is the superstar of Paris Saint-Germain and the French national team, Kylian Mbappe.

Vinicius and De Bruyne complete the top five in the rankings, while on the list we find, among others, players from Napoli (Osimen-Kvaratskelia), Arsenal (Saka-Edegaard).
