Prometheus stole the Lavrio in Patras with a new cast!

His high flights continued once more Prometheuswho with the third (!) disaster in this season, crushed with the imposing 100-73 the Lavrio for the 5th matchday of the Stoiximan Basket League!

The defeat by Peristeri bwin the previous matchday turned out to be just a… parenthesis for Patrinos, who thanks to a dream first half 63 points (!), they comfortably reached the 4th pink card of the season, catching – albeit temporarily – Olympiakos at the top of the standings (Panathinaikos game pending).

Top for the winners were Hale and Cowan, with the two guards finishing the game with 24 and 22 points, respectively, in what was an outstanding performance night for them. On the other hand, for Lavrio which fell to 3-2, Castaneda and Moore they had 15 and 12 points respectively.

The match:

Prometheus once again showed the excellent offensive qualities that characterize this year’s roster, who entered from the very first minute with… his foot on the gas. With a quick 11-2 run, the Patriots took an 18-7 lead in the 4th minute, while a short while later, Reynolds’ 3-pointer pushed the lead to double digits for the first time (21-9). Hale and Cowan continued to find easy points for the home side, who closed out the first quarter at +13 for 33-20.

Kavvadas and Castaneda temporarily cut it for Lavrio early in the second period to 36-27 at 12′ and 40-31 at 14′, before the hosts ramped up their performance and scored 23 points in the final five minutes, going into the locker room with impressive +29 and 63-34!

Having as a “dowry” this big difference of the first 20 minutes, Prometheus managed the rest of the match very well, while maintaining its good offensive momentum. Somehow, and without the difference falling below 26 (!), the home team reached the pink match sheet in comfort and style with the impressive final score 100-73!
