THE Corriere dello Sport had highlighted the rather paradoxical situation for one of the most successful coaches in the history of football.
“Don Carlo” can be proud of more than 1,200 matches in his career and for the highest level record with 21 titles, including three Champions League wins with Milan (2) and Real Madrid (1), while he is on the way to winning the first Spanish championship in his career.
The newspaper explained that the Spanish Football Federation had informed Carlo Ancelotti that he would talk to UEFA – the highest governing body of European football – to “extinguish” a situation which should not concern a coach of his caliber.
