We’ve had enough of the ball and there’s still a half to go! The first 45 minutes of the London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea were drawn from football fans’ wildest dreams, as they were, quite literally, ALL!
Two goals, another four(!) canceled by VAR, a penalty, a red, an injury, probably serious, and, above all, a frenetic pace, with the score at 1-1!
To start with, Tottenham took the lead with a goal Kulusevsky in the 6th minute and looked capable at the start of the match for the 11th matchday of the Premier League to “swallow” her compatriot. In the 16th minute he found the net again, this time with Sean, but his goal was disallowed by VAR, which had terrible jobsince in the 21st and 28th he canceled two Chelsea goals, which, however, had balanced the game!
The sequel is even better, After disallowing the second goal of the “blues”, the VAR checked an earlier phase, for a harsh marking of Romero in the box, with the referee Oliver awarding the penalty and dismissing the Argentine with a straight red card! Palmer didn’t miss through 11 pitches, making it 1-1.
Two minutes later, Jackson scored for her absolute reversalbut this was also canceled by the VAR for offside, in the 41st minute Postecoglou saw a yellow card for protesting, while a few minutes later… he saw Miki van de Ven leave with a serious, probably, injury!
And all of the above, in a first half – with 12 minute delays due to endless VAR- where some excellent football was played.
