Matt West is the Men’s Volleyball League MVP of the second game. The 30-year-old American passer of Kalamata ’80 was the leader in the newly enlightened team’s 3-0 set victory in Zirinio over Kifissia in its first in the top division of Greek volleyball.
West was key in all sets and distributed his team’s play perfectly. Although the reception of Kalamata in the elites was 21%, the effectiveness in the attack was at 50%, while the opposing block had only 4 points, which means that the American led his teammates from safety and in the critical phases at the end of the sets.
He also took one attack point on his one attempt and had just 1 error in 15 serves. Also, the index had 6.8.
It is the first time that West has been named MVP and he becomes the first Kalamata ’80 player to receive this honor.
