PAOK’s coach made statements to the Romanian media, Rasvan Lucescuexpressing his satisfaction with the team’s progress so far this season, stressing that the “Two-Headed of the North” will go for victory in the away match against Eintracht Frankfurt, while he also spoke about his father, Mircea, who left the technical leadership of Dynamo Kyiv.

What the PAOK coach said in detail:

For PAOK’s performance so far this season: “From the summer until now, we have won 21 games and lost just two. The sign is definitely positive, we have succeeded through the hard team and individual work of the players and all team members. Things were not easy, some transfers came late, but we are where we want to be”.

For PAOK’s European journey: “With PAOK two years ago we reached the “8” of the Conference League, we could also qualify for the semi-finals based on our image in the two games against Marseille. We are now in first place in our group and have the game against Eintracht in Frankfurt ahead of us. It won’t be an easy game at all, Eintracht is the favourite, let’s not forget that they represent German football. We are going to fight, we are going to win and finish in first place, because it gives the advantage of direct qualification to the round of 16″.

On his father, Mircea, and his decision to leave Dynamo Kyiv: “I told him that if I were him, I would take my bag and go around the world. It doesn’t matter what I expected, but how he feels. I don’t know to tell you for sure, from my point of view I think he is not giving up football. If he can, he will get involved. I have my own problems, we have spoken twice since he returned to Romania, I can’t wait to speak in person”.
