Xavi “bent” under the pressure: “Criticism from the media hurts the team”

Since 2018, some seem to have been obsessed with Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez, who does not seem to be having his best days at the club.

The Catalan coach has been heavily criticized by the local media for his side’s results of late, with the veteran midfielder unable to keep his cool during the press conference following the 2-1 win over Alaves for the LaLiga.

There is a huge wave of negativity around the team that is hurting us“, characteristically mentioned Xavi, who a few years ago some… journalists had reached the point of publicly calling him “Barcelona’s cancer”!

Despite what is said on broadcasts or written in the written and online press, the management of Barcelona still publicly supports Xavi, who recently signed a new contract with the “blaugrana”, until the summer of 2025.
