Lysandrou: “We have spoken with Dabrauskas about his contract renewal and transfers”

by

In the revelation that there have already been discussions with Valdas Dabrauskas about the renewal of his contract with OFI, Minas Lysandrou proceeded in his statements. The managing director of Cretan PAE also stated that there is full support for the coach and regarding transfers he added that there has been preparatory work for the transfer period in order to make transfers that will raise the team.

Minas Lysandros’ positions in detail:

To support Valdas Dabrauskas:

“It goes without saying, but there is full support for Dabrauskas.”

For the January transfer window:

“The preparatory work for the transfer period has started and the work is about evaluating the situation as it emerges along the way. It is at a mature level because we are in constant communication as in every transfer window we want to become better than the previous one.”

On Dabrauskas’ contract renewal:

“We have already discussed the renewal of his contract. The first discussion has been expressed, there is an excellent climate and relations between the two sides. The coach is not negative.”

For contract extensions:

“We have started the process of negotiations for the extensions. We have experience handling these situations. The November break was a milestone to get the discussion process moving. Generally we are on a road where we don’t leave it to chance but we don’t panic either. OFI and each team can keep whoever they want to keep. That we have a high success rate in keeping the ones we want may have to do with setting realistic goals. In general, not many transfer targets have been lost.”

On whether OFI is going through a competitive crisis:

“Who we are is shown by how we deal with these crises. It definitely needs a rally, we work every day to keep the balance and the team to progress. We are not one step before the cliff. I know there is good grapevine in the team, but everyone is concerned about the image. I repeat that what is of great importance is that we are united looking at the same goal”.

For the stadium:

“It is something that concerns PAE every day, actions have already been taken that will take some time to be announced. We are not the administration waiting for the solution to come to us, but we are looking for it and finding it ourselves. The pitch is fundamental, it is something we have in our sights and concerns us every day”.
