Bayern Munich “ruined” the opening of the new Villeurbanne stadium by taking a thriller victory in the second overtime!

In a highly impressive and exciting game, with constant changes in the score and two overtimes, the Bayern Munich managed to… spoil the opening of her newly built and beautiful stadium Villerbancelebrating the victory with the spectacular 101-100!

The match started with both teams being misguided and without rhythm in attack. Bolmaro had a chance to give Bayern the win, taking shots with 6” on the clock, but he hit just one, sending the match into overtime.

In the first extra five minutes, and although Villerban entered the floor with a well-timed 3-pointer by Scott, the Bavarians tied up their defense, did not concede a single point for more than three minutes, taking an 83-77 lead thanks to an alley-oop partnership Bolmaro with Ibaka and Gifai’s three-pointer. Two shots by Lovern and a 3-pointer from Lee made the game a derby again, and the home team touched the victory, with a nail by Lovern to make it 88-85. However, on the final drive, Wyler-Bubb scored with a 3-pointer, sending the game into a second overtime!

There, Villerban led 95-90, but Gifai put the visitors back in the game with a three-pointer, Paris Lee put the hosts back in front (100-97), but Francisco answered immediately to make it 100-100, before Gifai scored in one shot for the final 100-10 , after Louvavou-Cambaro missed a mid-range shot with the finish.
