After the leagues were interrupted due to national teams, the Stoiximan Super League returns to action this three-day, with the PAOK to welcome him Panseraic in Toumba on Saturday afternoon (25/11, 19:30) for the 12th matchday.
Speaking to Nova’s camera, Mr Brandon Thomas, referred to the difficulties they will be asked to face against the team of Serres, but also about the “final” on Thursday with Eintracht for the Conference League group stage.
Brandon Thomas’ statements in detail:
On how he sees the team now as they prepare to return to action after a layoff: “The whole group is now together after the return of the internationals and we all have our minds on Saturday’s match. It’s a difficult match and that’s where we have to focus our attention. The only thing on our mind is how to win the match.”
On whether they discussed with Zivkovic the presence of the upcoming EURO, as well as with the Greek internationals of PAOK who will have a second chance through the play-offs of the Nations League: “We talked to the guys already about everything they did with the National Teams and obviously we’re happy for our teammates. Both with Zivkovic who qualified and with the Greeks who will try to do the same. In any case, we wish them to continue with success with their National Teams and to experience other joys”.
On whether he is happy with his performances this season, where he has scored six goals and provided four assists: “I’m happy because I’m in a good place. I am happy because I have made a good start to the season but I will repeat what I always say: the most important thing for me is to help my team achieve its goals. What interests me is that even when I don’t score or give assists, through the pressing and the effort I make on the field I help my teammates. I’m never satisfied and want to try harder whether the personal numbers come in or not. I’m hungry and I want to keep helping my team.”
On how he approaches the match against Panseraikos: “I think it will be a difficult and tough game. Panserraikos will come here determined to look for a positive result. We must be completely focused on this match and above all from the beginning of the match we must be determined to give everything on the field”.
On whether the team is disorganized ahead of Thursday’s “final” against Eintracht Frankfurt: “We shouldn’t think about Eintracht since there is another match ahead. We will deal with the German team after the match with Panserraikos. Obviously we know that on Thursday we will play first in the group but it will be devastating to lose points in the league which are so important for us. We will deal with Eintracht after the match with Panseraikos”.
