A space in which reference will be made to all persons who they tried to prevent the erection of the new AEK stadium will be in the team’s Museum which is expected to be inaugurated in the next period of time.
As it became known from the people of the group, following a decision by Dimitris Melissanidisin this space there will be the photos of all those who fought for the dream of its fans to see the Opap Arena, not only completed as a project, but not even started.
“We knew when the titanic effort to build our stadium began, that the road would not be paved with rose petals. But we found in front of us obstacles and hostility from people and bodies they happened to represent, which we could not even imagine. Athreatened the development of the plan even with cancellation and ultimately caused long and unnecessary delays. And all this just because of empathy. We are hurt and will be hurt forever by the fact that because of them, a significant number of AEKtjis did not manage to experience the magic and excitement of returning to our Home and the great moments we have experienced since the first period of its operation. “The Museum of History of AEK will be inaugurated shortly. This story also has bad moments. But among them the worst have to do with those who tried to torpedo our future, the life of AEK, which is its new stadium. The people of AEK who will visit the Museum, should remember and the future generations who will not have lived to learn, who tried to cancel the destiny of our team.
There will be a special area in the Museum with references to persons and especially their photographs such as the former mayor of New Philadelphia, Aris Vassilopoulos. Five years of unnecessary war for our stadium are reflected in his presence as mayor in our city. As well as in the presence of persons who were his close advisers and influenced him, such as the then municipal councilor, the doctor Thanasis Mallios.
The Minister of Production Reconstruction and Energy from January to July 2015, Mr Panagiotis Lafazanis. All this time he kept the crucial Environmental Impact Study in his drawer and did not sign it for absolutely no reason. He caused a huge delay and signed the Study literally on the last day of his term, when he had no choice. The successor of Lafazanis, Panagiotis Skourletisfrom whom we heard the incredible proposal to leave our plot, and go and build a stadium at the old Reno facility!!!
These as typical examples, as well as others who starred in the efforts to cancel the life’s work for AEK, will forever have their place in our historical memory and this will be reflected in the Museum of our History”. they conclude.
