THE Levadian took the lead with a goal by Giorgos Nikas in the 9th minute, but AEL reacted and took the draw (1-1) with his own goal Luca Andradain the top derby of Super League 2 group A!
The “maroons”, however, had major complaints from his refereeing Tassos Sidiropoulos in the said game, which they expressed in their announcement after the match.
AEL’s announcement in detail:
“Referee Sidiropoulos made superhuman efforts today in Livadeia to give victory to the team of Levadeiakou.
He gave away a disputed penalty, got as many yellow cards as he could to give us a good night and when he had to give a red card for the “foul karate” on Otormin, he limited himself to a yellow.
However, he gave a red card to the footballer Iliadis after the end of the match to clarify his anger against AEL and his inability to return us to Larissa with zero points. The magnificent appearance of our team in an absolutely hostile game, did not allow them to complete the “crime”.
Congratulations again today to the AEL footballers! Congratulations to the people of our team who accompanied her to Livadia!
We had a very different opinion of the referee in question. We believed that in this year’s crucial game of the year for the northern group of Super league 2, an accomplished referee would blow the whistle and not another “Poulikidis”.
In the end, it is becoming clear how sick Greek football is and how much work the Greek refereeing needs to do so that they stop paying bills as they please, committing unrepentant crimes against teams whose only thing they are fighting for is fair play!
We are sure that today’s game will leave a black mark on the otherwise accomplished international referee. After all the above, PAE AEL wishes to attribute only one word to Mr. Sidiropoulos: SHAME!!”.
