According to English and French media, Paris fans raided bars in which those of Newcastle were, and the situation soon got out of hand.

For several minutes the area turned into a war scene until the police belatedly intervened and the crowd dispersed, with no reports of injuries or arrests so far.
From earlier there are testimonials and videos about groups of hooded Paris fans “combing” the streets of Paris in search of Newcastle fans to attack them.
Tonight’s match (22:00) is particularly crucial as the sixth group is on a razor’s edge, with Dortmund on 7 points, Paris on 6, AC Milan on 5 and Newcastle on 4.
