Haaland, Morata and Hoylund lead the scoring race in the Champions League

by

With the goal he scored against Leipzig, Erling Haaland “caught” Rasmus Hoylund and Alvaro Morata in first place in the table of scorers in this year’s Champions League.

In fact, Manchester City’s Norwegian striker did the player who reaches the fastest, while also being the youngest, 40 goals in the organization.

Hoylund, for his part, he had scored twice in the first half in Copenhagenwhere United were beaten 4-3, while Morata had scored twice in Atletico Madrid’s 6-0 rout of Celtic on Matchday 4 of the top-flight competition.

From now on, seven players score four goals so far, with Leipzig’s Lois Opena the big revelation and Alvarez a goal clear of City team-mate Haaland. Last night Bellingham reached 4 goals for Real Madrid, while Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus continued to find the net.

At… level “4” has been reached and Porto’s Evanilsson, who scored his 4th goal against Antwerp, becoming the first player to score a hat-trick this season. Morata’s Atletico teammate Antoine Griezmann and Harry Kane have the same number of goals as the aforementioned.

With a distance of two goals, nine footballers are away from the top: Joao Felix, Phil Foden, Ciro Immobile, Kylian Mbappe, Bryce Mendes, Rodrigo, Saka, Cican and Joao Mario, who yesterday scored his second hat-trick of the year in the Champions League, with the three goals he scored against Inter, who played until last year.
