The Acropolis Rally will return to the Olympic Stadium after seventeen years, with a special route in which the top drivers of the championship will take part. At the same time, the Rally Star will be organized in Greece, from which the drivers of the future will emerge.
In 2005, about 60,000 motorsport fans gathered in the stands of Greece’s largest stadium to watch the spectacular spectacle offered by the drivers. In 2022 the event is expected to “pass” again from OAKA.
“For 2022 we are planning an impressive super special route in the central stadium of OAKA. Thus, many more fans will have the opportunity to watch the match closely “, said the Deputy Minister of Sports Lefteris Avgenakis. In order to highlight the talents of Rally, it was announced that the FIA ​​Rally Star institution will be held in our country as well. The Rally Star takes place on all continents and through it the new generation of drivers is expected to emerge. Thus, in the Acropolis of next year, the FIA ​​Junior category with 12 participations will be counted.
In the coming months, organized road safety actions are expected to be further strengthened, in which recognizable persons will take part with the aim of sensitizing the public and especially the new generation on issues related to safe driving.
This year’s Acropolis Rally was also distinguished for its sensitivity to environmental issues, something that is expected to happen in the next races as well.
• The draft law “Sports volunteering, sports for all, intellectual sports, e-sports, e-sports, work sports and other amendments to the sports legislation” was put to public electronic consultation.
