“Carlos Carvalhal takes over Olympiakos”

by

Pops… coach to Olympic; According to what “CNN Portugal” reports, Mr Carlos Carvalhal is expected to take over the technical leadership of the “red and whites”, replacing him Diego Martinez which at the moment looks finished.

The 57-year-old technician has been on the free market for the past few months, after leaving the Telta bench at the end of last season. With his name Carvalhal be the first to know through bwinSPORT FM, with Costas Nikolakopoulos conveying the information that he is one of the coaches who have been proposed to Olympiakos.

THE Carvalhalwho has been away from the Greek league for a few months when he became its coach Astera Tripoli at the start of the 2008/09 season. In fact, he made his debut in Arkades against Olympiakos, losing 3-1 to Piraeus.

He started his career in 1998 from Espinho and then sat on the bench for Fremunde, Deportivo Aves, Leyções, Setúbal, Belenenses, Braga, Beira-Mar, Astera Tripoli, Maritimo, Sporting Lisbon, Besiktas, Basaksehir, Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea, Rio Ave, Braga (again), Al Wahda and Telta.

Of course, everything seems to be clarified within the next 24 hours, with his game Olympiakou in Panthessalikos with Volos it seems that it will probably be the last of Diego Martinez on the red and white bench.
