Announcement regarding the refereeing by Niki Volou for the match with AEL: “The table was probably… poisoned”

by

The administration of Niki Volos issued a “sharp” announcement against the refereeing of Aristotle Diamantopoulos for the derby with AEL!

The “blues” protest strongly about several decisions of the Greek referee, combining it with the non-television coverage of the match, arguing that these hints were not seen by the fans since “Ilioupoli-Aegaleo was more “commercial””, commenting in a caustic way.

The announcement in detail:

“Once again you have given us a reason to deal with what we loathe: That is, with anything other than racing.

In the match against Levadeiakos we got the message. Aristotelis Diamantopoulos performed his mission perfectly and gave three points to our opponent.

Today, Maloutas, in the same… line, made sure to help so that our team did not get what they were entitled to on the field.

In the 2nd yellow card to Stikas. All fouls reversed. Even in AEL’s goal there was a foul on Gavrielidis. Kassos’ goal should probably have crossed 3 meters from the line and not one. Really, why did the helpers come today? Probably just for the daily wage because we didn’t see them make any decision even when the ball went wide.

And all this the world could not see.

Why; Because Ilioupoli-Egaleo was more important. More commercial. You’re no laughing matter either. Organizing authority and arbitration are playing with our effort, our money and our dreams.

We want to continue and give fights that will be judged by fair decisions. And from decisions that the whole world will be able to see.

The category should include… yesterday the goal line technology as well as the matches videotaped by the people of the Organizer to publish the highlights from all the teams. The hide and seek is over. While some steps have been taken in the right direction, it turns out that we still have a long way to go to achieve the goal of running a clean and fair league.

PS: We thank the management of AEL for the hospitality, but the… table was probably poisoned”
