On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Errika Prezerakou posted a photo of her amputated finger on Instagram. It was on August 7, 2020, when on vacation in Kythnos she had a serious accident, which cost her one finger on her right hand. The former pole vault champion sends a resounding message of encouragement to people who have gone through similar adventures.
“I wanted to write so much .. but inside me only this stood… Forgive me if I’m wrong … but the world day is not about the people who were born or acquired a disability, it’s about all of us who are often disabled inside to embrace, love or accept each what’s different that we only look outside and not the flame of the soul inside .. It is for all of us this day my sunny creatures. I don’t know if I told you today how much I love you?“, Errika Prezerakou wrote in her post.
It is noted that in the recent self-governing elections, a regional councilor was voted from Nikos Hardalia’s ballot, gathering 12,250 votes.
