Boxing: The Greek delegation returned from the World Championships with three medals

With three medals, one silver and two bronzebut also two fifth places returned by the Greek delegation from World Boxing Championship Boys/Girls, in Yerevan, Armenia. The silver medal was won by Maria Georgopoulou in the 50k category. A bronze medal was won by Manolis Fotiadis in the category of 63kg, while the bronze medal was also won by Ourania Kantzari in the category of 57 kg. The 5th place was occupied by Petros Konstantinoudis and Achilleas Tsepidis.

With applause, admiration and pride, the Greek delegation was welcomed at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport by friends and relatives of the members of the national team, where they all united together and shouted the slogan “Greece – Greece” with the people “drowning” in their arms all the children who deservedly honored our country.
