Olympiacos could not stand against the “beast”.

Olympiacos outside Europe. The “red and whites” lost 0-3 sets to Novara in Italy in the second match between them for the “16” of the Challenge Cup Women’s Volleyball and, combined with their 2-3 set defeat in the first meeting in “Melina Mercouri” on last week, they were left out of the quarter-finals of the competition, where PAOK and Panathinaikos are.

In the first two sets, Olympiacos fell behind early on, but in the third they came out stronger and had a chance to take it. Leading 20-17 and 21-18, Novara even had its first match point at 24-23, Olympiacos went ahead 25-24 and 26-25, but Novara eventually won it 29-27.

2nd set: 8-5, 16-13, 21-17, 25-19

3rd set: 5-8, 12-16, 18-21, 29-27
