With 3 out of 3, Panathinaikos finished their matches in the first phase of the Europe Trophy

Panathinaikos AO completed its three-day competition in Valletta for the first phase of the Europe Trophy for men’s table tennis with the ultimate in success.

From Saturday 09/12 he secured first place in Group A of the so-called Region 4 and by extension direct qualification to the final phase, today Sunday he made it 3 out of 3.

He defeated MITTC from Malta 3-2 and took the lead with 6 points in his return to Europe. In his thinking now, as far as the European presence is concerned, the prospect of a great distinction in the Europe Trophy Grand Final 2024, where a total of 12 teams, who have progressed from the Regional phase, can take part. In the match against the local team, Nikos Antoniadis made his debut in the European Club Cup and was even placed in the 1st position of Panathinaikos.

In the other match of the 3rd match of the group, Zeleznicar beat the Italian Marcozzi 3-2 and took 2nd place. In the final score, Panathinaikos led with 6 points, Zeleznicar followed with 5, Marcotsi had 4 and MITTC was in last place with 3. In the other group of Region 4, Santa Tecla Nulvi from Italy emerged as the winner, also with 3 wins. .
