Lietkambelis took advantage of Aris’ bad start in the second half, scoring 2-10 (37-34) in the first five minutes. Harel gave… a breather to the “yellows” (41-34), with Orelik and Sirvidis bringing the match to a point (41-40), at 26′. However, the players of Yannis Kastritis did not allow the Lithuanians to take the lead and with De Souza they closed the third period at +3 (47-44).
With back-to-back baskets by De Souza, Aris started with 4-0 in the fourth quarter, for +7 (51-44), with Lietkabelis responding with individual scores of 2-10 with Bircevic in front, for the lead (53-54 ), at 34′. The reaction of the hosts came from Toliopoulos and Harel, who sent them to +5 (62-57), in the 37th minute. In the last minutes the “yellows” held on and reached victory with the final 69-60.
