Panathinaikos: “PAE will take legal action against fans who harm the team”

The attention of his friends is drawn by Panathinaikos in tonight’s match against Maccabi Haifa (19:45) stating that he has been classified as high risk by UEFA. PAE informs about the additional security measures that have been taken, while emphasizing that “… will take strict action and take legal action against those found to be harming the team with their behavior».

The announcement in detail:

“Friends of Panathinaikos,

Tonight, our team plays a decisive match in the group stage of the Europa League, against the Israeli Maccabi Haifa, which they welcome at “Apostolos Nikolaidis” at 7.45 pm. A match that will lead us to the European presence and next February!

In order to achieve the desired result and qualification, we need your support! But beware: tonight’s match is classified as high risk by UEFA, which is why there is also a security observer from the European confederation. In addition, the peculiarity of the match due to the opponent brings additional security measures from the Greek Police. This means, on the one hand, that the controls will be thorough and therefore time-consuming, and on the other hand, that the behavior of the fans in the stands of “Apostolos Nikolaidis” will be under constant surveillance.

Smoke generators, sparklers, firecrackers, banners with political messages, lasers are strictly prohibited inside the stadium. Also, staying on internal stairs of the doors and any inappropriate behavior are prohibited and are actions that can endanger our team!

For all of the above, UEFA is very meticulous and in the case of delinquent behavior, punishment for our team will be extremely possible. It should be pointed out that PAE, in order to safeguard the interests of the club, will take strict measures and take legal action against those found to be damaging the team with their behavior.

Regarding the orderly attendance of fans at the stadium, the following is announced:

– The stadium gates will open three hours before the start of the match, that is at 16:45.

– Gates 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 located on Tsoha Street will remain closed for security reasons from 18:00 to 18:45.

-After the end of the match, the sports fans who will be at gates 8,9,10,11,12 will leave the pedestrian street of Filimonos.

– By decision of the Greek state, the physical control of the fans upon entering the gates of the stadium will now be carried out by the Greek Police.

– In order to avoid overcrowding and more effectively manage the fans who come to the stadium, six (6) pre-checkpoints will operate to check tickets and identity.

Streets: Armatolon and Klefton & Panathinaikos

Pre-check 2

Streets: Filimonos & Tsocha

Pre-check 3

Streets: Tsocha & P. ​​Kyriakou (on Tsocha)

Pre-check 4

Streets: P. Kyriakou & Tsocha (on P. Kyriakou)

Pre-check 5

Streets: P. Kyriakou & L. Alexandras

Pre-check 6

Streets: Panathinaikou & L. Alexandras

Particularly:

-Ticket holders of gates 13-14 will pass exclusively through Pre-Checks 1 & 6.

-Ticket holders of gates 8-9-10-11-12 will go through Pre-Checks 2 & 3.

-Gate 7 ticket holders will go through Pre-Check 4, while Pre-Check 5 will be closed from 17:00 to 18:00.

Regarding gates 1-2-3-3B-5, the control of the fans will be done exclusively at the gates.
