Gladstone Junior became a Kifissia player on Saturday. TAA of the northern suburbs announced the acquisition of the 26-year-old Brazilian blocker until the end of this season, in order to strengthen the center of the attack and claim immediate stay in the Men’s Volley League.
Gladstone played for Iraklis at the beginning of the season, having worn the jerseys of Pamvochaikou, Aristotelis Skydras and Athlos Orestiadas in the Greek league.
In detail, the announcement:
“Kifissia Volleyball Sports Club announces the start of its cooperation with the 26-year-old Brazilian center Gladstone Junior.
The experienced blocker is 2.07m tall and will be part of the northern suburbs squad until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Born on February 28, 1997, he knows the Volley League well, as he has previously played for Pamvochaikos, Aristotelis Skydras and Athlos Orestiadas. In fact, in the first half of this season, Gladstone Junior competed with Iraklis Thessaloniki in the Pre League.
The new “tower” of the “blue and white” in his first statements as a player of Kifissia emphasized: “I am excited about my transfer to Kifissia. It is an opportunity for me to compete at a high level, like the Volley League. Everyone in the team welcomed me in an exemplary manner. For my part, I will try hard to help Kifisia to improve its ranking position.
I am optimistic that we will succeed, as Kifissia has good, experienced and talented athletes and I believe that its position does not reflect its true potential.”
