Anderlecht continues the hunt for Saint-Jiloise! Brian Rimmer’s side got a professional win by beating them 2-0 Circle Bridge and closed the gap to 6 points from the top, taking advantage of the points leader’s draw yesterday.

A strong start from the home team, after just in the 10th minute, Ntreyer took advantage of Augustinson’s assist and opened the scoring, with 1-0 remaining until the end of the half. In order for Vázques, who had entered the break in the match, to come in the 52nd minute, to give air of two goals to the Anderlecht and to lock the three-pointer that sent his team to 42 points and left the guests in 7th place.

A breather for Charleroi, who beat Malin 3-1 and moved out of the danger zone, with the losers at +1 from it. Zorgan (2′) and Silas (28′) gave the home side a quick two-goal lead, with the visitors just managing to pull one back in the 66th minute through Bassett but not avoiding defeat as Zorgan scored again in the 9th minute of stoppage time to shape the final score.

Standard Liège and Sid Truiden were tied at 1-1, staying at a distance from the top six. It was all money in the final minutes of the match, after Fuhita opened the scoring in the 86th minute and the visitors looked close to a huge victory, but Kanga’s penalty in the 8th minute of stoppage time saved the home side from the worst.
