Kyle Guy on his way out of Panathinaikos AKTOR

by

Past by Panathinaikos AKTOR will be the Kyle Guy. The “greens” will terminate the contract of the 26-year-old shooting guard, who was clearly out of the rotation recently, as he was left out of seven foreign teams in the Stoiximan Basket League and twelve in the Euroleague.

The American ace had signed two-year contract in the summer, however, with the additions made to the perimeter and especially that of Kendrick Nunn, he fell a lot in the hierarchy and is finally heading for the exit, not by loan but by release. His last participation was on December 5 and the defeat by Anatolou Efes, where he played for 1:56.

Guy played in eight Euroleague games and a total of 14 with the “clover”. In European games he averaged 4 points (71.4% on 2-pointers, 31.6% on 3-pointers, 80% on shots), 0.9 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1 foul in 10:38. He made the best appearance in the victory of Panathinaikos AKTOR over Olympiakos in SEF for the Stoiximan Basket League (10/30), where he tallied 11 points (on 3/6 3-pointers), 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 24:20.

With his release from Panathinaikos AKTOR before the start of the second round, Kyle Guy retains the right to go to a Euroleague team, however the most likely thing is that he will return to Spain but to a team of… another competition. THE Tenerife and the Badalona are considered candidates for its acquisition.

In the morning his agent, Misko Raznatovicmeaningfully wrote on Twitter: “Unfortunately, there is a shop that has to stay open for 365 days. Birthdays, New Year’s Eve – nobody really cares. Tomorrow, we end 2023 in style».
