The Spanish forward signed a 1.5-year contract and is the second winter transfer after Amr Ward. Betancourt was released a few days ago by Cluj, in which he made 32 appearances with five goals last season.

“PAE Panserraikos, on New Year’s Day, announces that it has reached an agreement with the footballer Hefte Betancourt for a 1.5 year contract. The 30-year-old striker will start training with our team in the next few days.
Hefte Betancourt was born on 07/06/1993, he plays as a striker and a few days ago he was released from the Romanian club Cluj, with whom he had 32 appearances and 5 goals since last year, of which 6 were European and an interim loan in Paphos with 12 appearances and 1 goal.
The Spanish forward started his career in the minor categories of Spain, having played in Hercules, Odense, Tenerife B, Eldinense, Union Vieira, Badajoz, Las Palmas, Aradina, San Fernando and in 2018 he moved to Austria.
There he played for Stadl Paura, Mandersburg and Reed, leaving with 61 appearances and 31 goals and a top scorer award in the 2020 Austrian Second Division, before leaving for Romania.
Valundari and Farul Constanta were his next teams with 67 appearances and 26 goals and in fact in 2021 he was named the best foreign player in Romania, having impressive performances.
