Two foreign referees who have never officiated matches of Greek teams have been appointed by KED for Sunday’s big derbies for its 17th matchday Stoiximan Super League.
In the Olympiacos-AEK the 36-year-old Slovak will be found Boris Marefka and to Aris-PAOK the also 36-year-old Dane Sandy Putros. VAR will be respectively his compatriots Christian Mikel and Jonas Hansen.
Marefka has not officiated a European game this year as he held the FIFA badge for the four-year period 2016-2020, but is no longer an international. Putros managed two games in the Conference League qualifiers (Sutiesca-Santa Coloma 2-0 and Partizani-Valmiera 1-0). The Dane, in fact, “whistled” in three matches in Cyprus, in Anorthosis-Aris Limassol 2-3, Paphos-Omonoia 0-2 and Nea Salamina-Anorthosis 0-3.
In the Panathinaikos-Panaitolikos Vassilis Fotias was appointed with Konstantinos Perrakis in VAR.
