Ruznic: “I see Cerin in one of the five biggest leagues in Europe”

by

He gave an interview to Meso of his hometown Amir Ruznic. The manager of the three Slovenian footballers who play for Panathinaikos, Adam Cerin, Andraj Sporar and Benjamin Verbic, referred to them and their path to the “greens”, among others.

THE Ruznic he emphasized, among other things, that everyone is happy in Panathinaikossaying that they play in a very big team.

At the same time, he revealed that there is interest in him Cherin but he will not go ahead as the “clover” do not want to give away players in the winter transfer window, while he predicted that the Slovenian midfielder will be sold to a big European club competing in the top five leagues.

Initially, he was asked about the fact that the three players now have the legendary Fatih Terim as their new coach.

-How do you see this change and the minutes played by your players?

“When we talk about Panathinaikos, we talk about a big club. A club in which there is great competition. It is impossible to expect our three players to play continuously, both in the league and in the Cup and in Europe. The pool of quality players is always large at such a club.

Cerin has played the most matches, Sporar and Verbic a little less. All three have long-term contracts with the club, I am in constant contact with Panathinaikos and they are very satisfied with them. It is normal to have competition for playing time at such a club, every training session counts. I don’t expect these players to change clubs in the winter. Maybe something could happen with Cherin, given that he is young and has a very good season and a half behind him. But they told me very clearly that the players Panathinaikos are seriously considering are not for sale in the winter.”

-“When we talk about Cerin’s future, can we talk about a multi-million transfer after Euro 2024?”was the next question.

“To be very specific, I see Adam in one of the five strongest European leagues after the Euros. But it is absolutely true that he is already playing for a very big club. I wouldn’t mind if we reached an agreement with Panathinaikos for a new contract. Negotiations are already underway. Adam is very happy in Athens, enjoying the club where he is highly respected. Football roads are unpredictable and if he plays well in the Euros a lot can happen. Here, of course, we are talking about a transfer to the league of 5”.
