Torrejon dressed as a killer and “killed” Panseraikos with a hat-trick!

Leg kick with the right for Panaitolikos! With the left back-half as a hero Silva Torrejon who scored the first hat-trick of his career (he had scored 4 other times so far), his team Yannis Petrakis confirmed its upward progress in the league and won 3-2 Panseraikou.

In the coach’s mind

Yiannis Petrakis lined up Panaitolikos with 3-5-2. At home Kapino and Oikonomou, Duarte, Mladen in the trio of stoppers. Liavas, Torrejon the back-halves, with Baldasaras, Hatzitheodoridis, Huanpi in the trio of axis and the last most advanced. Karelis and Duarte composed the duo in the attack.

With the classic 4-2-3-1, Pablo Garcia brought down Panserraikos. Hovan in goal and Deligiannidis, Thymianidis, Gotzamanidis, Petavrakis in the defense foursome. Staikos, Moreira in the midfield, with Sofiano, Hadjistravos, Murgos in the central attacking triplet. Aleksic is the only one promoted.

The match

Quite strong markings and a lot of nerves at the start of the match, with the first – in fact – final goal being a goal after Deligiannidis took advantage of the poor defensive reaction of the home team, as well as that of Kapinos, to score from close range for 1-0 at 15′ and to celebrate with… siu ala Cristiano Ronaldo!

This goal set the pace for the match, with the hosts going up and shouting for a penalty in the 27th minute when Liava fell in the area after a duel with Petavrakis, in a phase where there was contact but the referee and VAR agreed that it should continue. Panaitolikos’ persistence translated into goals and the equaliser, with Liavas making a stunning through-ball between the opposition stoppers and Torrejon slotting past Hovan for 1-1.

The score did not change until the end of the half, although both teams had a very long period with Fred Duarte and Aleksic not finding the target from advantageous positions.

A similar picture in the second half, with the ball going up and down and the phases coming from either side. Pablo Garcia brought on Warda, who was making his debut, but the Egyptian did little to help his side, with Panaitolikos striking in the 64th minute to take the lead thanks to Torrejon’s second goal of the match, with the Argentine scores with a spot kick from inside the area for 2-1.

The joy of the home team lasted only five minutes, after Panserraikos won a penalty after Hadjistravos was brought down by Kapinos, with Thymianis scoring from 11 steps to bring the score back to level (2-2). The match started all over again!

But the game still had plenty of thrills to offer. Because Torrejon had one more… ace hidden up his sleeve, since in the 84th minute and after the foul, he once again pierced the opposing defense and with a spinning header he executed Hovan for 3-2, giving the trigger for wild celebrations to Agriniotes. In fact, Petrakis’ team managed to keep the score in their favor until the final and celebrated a great victory, with which they went up to 14 points!

MVP: Does he want a question? Silva Torrejon, who achieved a hat-trick despite being a left back-half managed to find the net three times and give Panaitolikos the valuable three points against Panserraikos.

The whistle: A lot of work for the first referee, Katikos, but also the VARista, Koumbarakis, since there was a penalty (which was given correctly), as well as two other suspicions after there were contacts in the box but both agreed that there was nothing to blame.
