Tsitsipas: “I am very passionate about the development of tennis in Greece, I want to promote the sport”

In his intention to help the young children involved in tennis in our country, he made statements after the completion of his presence at the United Cup Stefanos Tsitsipas!

The leading Greek tennis player revealed that he has plans in mind to contribute as much as he can to the development of the sportemphasizing that he wants to be there for the new generations when they need to climb the stairs and continue to dream of reaching where he and Maria Sakkari have managed to reach!

In detail what he said:



“Personally, I have put together a plan, which I want to implement in a few years from now. I am not going to expect anything to be done by our own federation, they will not be responsible for this. It’s a personal thing and it’s something I’d like to create in a few years. I won’t say exactly what it is, but I have something in mind and I’ve discussed it with my team as well. Of course, Maria is welcome to this as well, who had done great things on the tour before me and I followed.

I love children very much and I like being around them. Mostly tennis related. I am always willing to help any new player, especially when they are from our country. I also had the opportunity to be Stefanos Sakellaridis’ “mentor” for a few days here in Sydney. I have been in certain situations in my career that not many Greeks have been in and I want to continue that legacy and promote the sport in my own way. I also want to be there for the new generations when they need to climb the stairs and continue to dream to reach where me and Maria have reached, to have a support because it doesn’t happen that way”.
