THE Draymond Green is preparing to return to action after the indefinite suspension he received from the NBAhowever, this does not seem to have been a given for him!
Specifically, Mr American forward stated via his podcast that he considered retiring during his absence after the new punishment he received, however the person who replaced him was none other than the league commissioner, Adam Silverwhich helped him change his mind!
“I told him, ‘Adam this is too heavy for me. … this is too heavy. I’m thinking of retiring.’ And Adam said, “You’re making a very hasty decision and I’m not going to let you do that.” We had a long, wonderful conversation, very helpful for me. I’m very grateful to play in a league with a commissioner like Adam who wants to help you more than hurt you, help you than punish you. It’s more there for the players.”Green said in detail about the event.
In a new edition of the Draymond Green Show, Golden State’s star suggests that Adam Silver talked him out of retirement: “I told him, ‘Adam this is too much for me…It’s all becoming too much for me – and I’m going to retire.’” Story on ESPN: https://t.co/He2qlfALBs
