Peristeri bwin: Fourth biggest win +36 over PAOK

by

He combined it with a series of historic performances Peristeri bwin the victory over PAOK with 71-35.

The +36 is Peristeri’s fourth-biggest bwin spread in A1 National and Stoiximan Basket League history (since 1986-87). Bigger were only:

*The +47 that defeated Aris Midea away from home for the 2000-01 season (64-111).

*The +42 that defeated Aris Midea at home for the 1997-98 season (101-59).

*The +38 with which they beat Larissa at home for the 2019-20 season (101-63).

At the same time, the difference of 36 points is the biggest by which a match between the two teams was decided in the years of the professional Championship. In the previous 53, the biggest difference was the 33 with which Dikefalos prevailed at home for the 1992-93 season (86-53).

Peristeri bwin, however, did not reach the biggest total difference in the history of its matches with PAOK mateco. The Thessaloniki team had won by 38 points (105-67) as the home team for the 1990-91 season, in a match that took place on January 19, 1991 (Prelevic 25 – Koronios 32).

At the same time, PAOK’s defeat was combined with four negative performances:

*Staying at 35 points, he equaled the negative record of the Stoiximan Basket League. It equaled the performance to which Paneleussinaikos had been limited in its away game against Panathinaikos for the 2013-14 season (74-35).

*The 35 points are, obviously, a negative historical record for PAOK. It is even characteristic that he did not reach 50 for the first time in 10 years. The last time this was done was on January 19, 2014 when he had 49 in a game in Rhodes against Colossos H Hotels (62-49).

*With the poor offensive performance of PAOK mateco, the overall score was very low. The 106 points tied for the 8th fewest single-game scoring performance in Stoiximan Basket League history. Dikefalos was also involved in the game in which the negative record of the professional Championship (from 1992-93) was set, with the 86 that was set against AEK Betsson in Alexandrio for the 1997-98 season (47-39).

*The second “black” performance of the Thessaloniki team was that of three-pointers after finishing the game with 0/17, tying for the third-worst performance in Stoiximan Basket League history and marking the second-worst in its own history in it after having 0/ 20 3-pointers in 2016-17 home game against Aris. The negative record, however, has been held by Olympiacos since the 2009-10 season with the 0/23 three-pointers scored against Panathinaikos.

*The third negative performance with which PAOK mateco left the Peristeri stadium was that of the final difference. -36 is the 7th heaviest loss in Stoiximan Basket League history.

*With the performance of the four points scored by Dikephalos in the third period of the game, he equaled his negative record in the last 13 seasons at least. Since the 2011-12 season, there has been one other occasion in which he was limited to four points, in the fourth period of the away match against Ionikos Nice for the 2019-20 season.

At the same time, PAOK’s four points in the third period of yesterday’s match are also a negative record for this year’s Stoiximan Basket League. The previous one was that of the six points scored by Aris in the second period of its match against Prometheus and Lavrios in the second period of its match against Olympiakos.

*The specific list is closed by the performance of the three assists in which Dikephalos remained. It is a negative record of at least the last 13 seasons for the Thessaloniki team, since since the 2011-12 season it has never fallen below four. He had as many in the away game against Olympiakos in the 2011-12 season.

The three assists left by PAOK constitute a negative eight-year record for the Stoiximan Basket League. To find a similar performance we should go back to the 2015-16 season when Lavrio also had three assists in its away game against Olympiakos, a performance to which Apollon Patras was also limited against Dikefalos, in the Thessaloniki match for the 2014-15 season. As for the previous smallest performance, this year’s performance was that of the 11th matchday, when Prometheus had six assists in his home game against Panathinaikos Aktor.

*Through these, mainly, the negative performances, the Thessaloniki team was limited to a meager 16th in the ranking. This is not only this year’s worst performance – the previous negative record was shared by Karditsa from the 6th and Lavrio Megabolt from the 9th matchday – but also for the last six years as a whole. To find a lower team performance in the evaluation system, we should go back to the 24th matchday of the 2017-18 Championship, when Korivos had a 9 ranking in its home game against Panathinaikos.

*PAOK was obliged to its third consecutive defeat after the previous ones by Prometheus except Maroussi at home. It is his longest streak this year since until yesterday he had two streaks of two wins and one streak of two losses. This is also his longest losing streak since last year’s season, when he had lost four games in a row (Peristeri bwin away, Panathinaikos Aktor away, Olympiacos inside, Larisa away from the 18th to the 21st matchday).
