The Greek Elite Champion was last week in Northern Greece, where he continued his preparation, ahead of a series of very important competitions that await him from February onwards!
In particular, “The Spartan” was in Thessaloniki for a few days, where he participated in training and sparring, under the watchful eye of the Federal Coach Vassilis Kokolis! At the same time, he trained with the experienced coach Vladimir Urgudinov, while he was in the ring with the Champion of PAOK Vangelis Nanitzanian, the Champion of the ΄B category at 80 kg, Zacharias Korosidis of A.S. Vladimir, the well-known and not exceptional Haris Tsoushidis of A.S. Agios Dimitrios, but also the professional Nikos Avramidis, who now competes for the Danielyan Team!
The last stop of Michalis Tsamalidis in this mini-preparation was Katerini, specifically the gym of the Elite Champion for many years, Alexandros Tsanikidis! Next big goal for the Greek Champion is the famous Strandja International Tournament, which will be held from February 2 to 12 in Bulgaria! Of course, the most important month for him is March, as he will be participating in the qualifying round claiming a place at the Paris Olympics, next summer!
“It was a very busy week, with lots of training and meetings! Many thanks to all the fellow athletes for their help, but also to the coaches for their valuable advice and hospitality! I am in very good shape and hope to start the year strongly with a good result at the 75th Strandja International Tournament!,” said Michalis Tsamalidis.
