PAOK was strengthened in the net with Samoilenko

Born in Russia on 23/06/1985, Alexey Samulenko plays as a center and is 210cm tall.

He started his professional career in the 2005-06 season from Dinamo-Olimp, where he remained for the following season (2006-07).

In the 2007-08 season, he played for Dynamo Moscow, with which he won the Russian championship, while he also played in the quarter-finals of the top interclub competition, the CEV Champions League.

He played for Dynamo Moscow until the 2009-10 season, adding two Russian Super Cups and a Russian Cup.

Then followed a four-year (2010-2014) with the Ural jersey. In the 2014-15 season he played for Fakel Novy Urengoy, followed by a two-year spell (2015-17) with Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, with which he won two Siberian Cups.

In 2017-18, he took the biggest step of his career, playing for Zenit Kazan. In his first year with Zenit, he won five titles, the Russian Championship, the Russian Cup, the Russian Super Cup, the Champions League and the Club World Cup. He stayed at Zenit for two more years (2018-2020), adding a Russian Super Cup and a Cup.

In the last four years (2020-2023/24) he remained in the Russian league, playing for Belogorie Belgorod, Ural Ufa and Neftyanik Orenburg.

Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Alexey Samulenko stated on the Association’s official website, acpaok.gr:
